Honestly, I don't think a WH is right for you. I don't doubt your abilities, it's just finding a good wormhole that meets your needs really. You would want to be able to run sites in a C2 or C3 wormhole most often. C2 for solo work, C3 for group. Yes you can solo some C3 sites with the right ship, but it can be slow going, leaving you exposed to roamers.
Instead, might I suggest an alternative? Why not setup a nice Hi-sec POS. At most you need 1 member with a good enough standing to anchor the POS. Then you can get the benefit of the POS without the hazard of the wormhole. Plus, you can do both PI and Ice mine (get a POS tower that matches your region) to save on Fuel costs. It's about 50 mil every few weeks for a well outfitted Medium POS tower if you have to buy all your fuel.
Then, hold wormhole raiding ops daily or when you guys are playing together. You'll find plenty of entrances to C1 and C2s in high sec. For C1s bring battle cruisers, for C2, either stick with the battle cruisers or ship up to battleships.
As for why I say this, well... a wormhole runs dry quickly. Say you find one with 20 sites, within a week you will have run all those sites. You will then be stuck with one to three new sites each day at best. You may get to those, or someone from outside the wormhole may beat you to them. Then your stuck in a WH with nothing to do.
If you want to run WH sites regularly, well, you would need to find a really good wormhole with both some sort of static hi or low sec exit, and a static exit to say a C1, C2, or C3. Still, that is very tough, and well... you'll have to most likely evict someone for that WH or constantly keep others from evicting you.
Again, my vote, get a Hi-sec POS, then setup in that system and probe down wormholes to explore each day. You'll probably have as much fun as living in a WH without as many hassles. I lived in a wormhole for about 2 months, and well, now that I'm out, with a hi-sec pos and free to explore everywhere, I'm much happier and making a better profit.
